Who Shot Rock And Roll.

Last week I went to an exhibit in my Brooklyn hood entitled Who Shot Rock And Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present, and I must have stayed for hours. I'm a sucker for rock 'n roll art and I cannot wait to start my collection. One day, I will indeed be a regular at the Morrison Hotel Gallery!

"These images show the Dionysian intoxication and the fervor that are rock and roll--a music that has the potential to liberate the soul, stimulate the hormones, and inspire social and cultural revolutions"

I found these to be especially special.

Juuuulian

Yes, of course the show was awesome the other week, and Julian was wearing lots 'o leather and using his sultry voice to wow the crowd at Terminal 5 (sigh). We made a bee-line to the center and found the few others that were dancing, and had a grand ole time, albeit short.

On Repeat: Devendra Banhart

I like scruffy men.

Can you say unique, diverse, and out-of-the-box?  What Will We Be has beautiful transitions between tracks that blend together wonderfully and unexpectedly.  Banhart is a refreshing artist and he surprises you in a very cool way, every step of the way.

"He has continued to grow in musical scope--leaving behind the barefoot, acoustic guitar-wielding mystic and forging ahead as a semi-electric band leader whose music incorporates Brazilian sambas, crunchy rock, whispered piano ballads, funk, tribal weirdness, and overall hirsute freakiness."

Girl got STYLE

Hi Kate.

a.k.a. my partner in crime
a.k.a. shopbop fashion director
a.k.a. established fashionista

A fashion inspiration to everyone around her, Kate has the dopest concert outfits, let alone day-to-day natural style that has our friends drooling everytime we see her. I'm talking beach side, brunch, club, pub, road trip, sleep, campsite, work, safari--you name it. At shows, she stands out, accessorizes just right, wears little, and most importantly, is comfortable. I'm telling you, flat boots and cross body bags work wonders. We like jumping around snagging outfit pics and having an awkward photo sesh at basically every concert/festival we go to. Look forward to future documentation.

Note: Phish phans even thought we were weird when found frolicking (slash posing) in campsite field. After a few drinks. Hey, the sun was just right people!

Get ready for a whole lotta Kate:
